Jason Dasey is an award-winning Australian broadcaster, journalist, keynote speaker, media trainer and master of ceremonies whose career has spanned more than four decades across television, radio, digital media and live events.

Widely recognised as one of Australia's most accomplished international broadcasters, Jason has built a unique career working across some of the world's most respected media organisations. He made history as the first Australian sports anchor on both BBC World News and CNN International before becoming the original host of ESPN's SportsCenter Asiaand SportsCenter India. Throughout his international career he has reported from and presented major sporting events including FIFA World Cups, UEFA European Championships, Grand Slam tennis, international cricket and the English Premier League, interviewing many of the biggest names in world sport.

Jason began his journalism career as a cadet reporter with The Sydney Morning Herald before moving into television with the Seven Network and SBS. His career then took him to London, where he worked with the BBC, Reuters and Sky News before relocating to the United States to join CNN International. He later spent almost two decades based in Singapore and Malaysia, combining on-air broadcasting with senior executive leadership roles at ESPN, Disney Southeast Asia and Astro, where he helped launch new television networks, digital platforms and sports programming across the Asia-Pacific region.

Returning to Australia, Jason has continued his diverse media career as a broadcaster with ABC News, Nine Radio, APAC Network and community radio, while also operating his own communications consultancy, Cockatoo Media. Alongside his journalism, he is an in-demand keynote speaker, event host and presentation coach, helping business leaders, executives, broadcasters and public figures develop confident, authentic communication skills.

Known for his engaging interview style, calm authority and global perspective, Jason has interviewed world leaders, sporting legends, entertainers and innovators throughout his career. His work has earned industry recognition not only for journalistic excellence but also for his ability to connect audiences across cultures and continents.

Away from the studio, Jason is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and effective communication. Drawing on more than 40 years of broadcasting experience, he regularly speaks to organisations, schools and community groups about resilience, leadership, storytelling and the power of clear communication.

Today, Jason Dasey continues to combine journalism, broadcasting, speaking and coaching, bringing an international perspective, decades of experience and a genuine passion for helping people tell their stories with confidence and impact.
